About the developer
CS master’s student at Georgia Tech. Previously interned at Meta and CME Group; incoming at Hudson River Trading.
My background is in systems. I love C++, low-level programming, operating systems, and networking.
CS books
I’m currently working through OSTEP, LearnCpp, and DDIA. A few selections from my reading list:
C++ & concurrency
C++ Primer · Effective Modern C++ · C++ Concurrency in Action
systems & networks
Solaris Internals · UNIX Network Programming · TCP/IP Illustrated · Beej’s guides · The Datacenter as a Computer
algorithms
CLRS · Skiena’s Algorithm Design Manual · cp-algorithms ↗
In addition to CS books, I love literature and philosophy. I’m interested in Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit and Philosophy of History, and German idealism more broadly: Kant, Fichte, and Schelling.
I also love Greek philosophy of course Socrates, Plato, and especially Heraclitus. I'd recommend checking out Fredrick Copleston's Philosophy of History volumes, they are much better than Durant (who Musk the bot prefers).
In terms of fiction, I love books such as Goethe’s Faust, Don Quixote, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Russian literature, especially Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, and Pushkin.
